Executive Chairman

John Herring is the Executive Chairman of the Group. Prior to assuming the role of Executive Chairman on April 2023, he was an Independent Non-Executive director of Narf Industries since 2019. John brings multi-decade executive and board experience in building high tech growth companies. He offers strategic and practical operational experience specific to NARF’s mission. His career spans military service and work in the national security sector, including multi-year involvement as CEO of an In-Q-Tel (the investment arm of the US CIA) portfolio company. His corporate finance experience includes venture, private equity and public market financings as well as buy and sell-side M&A transactions. John is Co-Founder Emeritus of Corstone Corporation, a private equity firm founded in 1991 (see https://corstonecapital.com/our-team/john-herring/). Previously, John served as an officer in the Navy nuclear submarine program on the staff of Adm. Hyman G. Rickover, the founder of the U.S. Navy nuclear program.

Steve is a Cyber Security expert and renowned in the industry, with over 20 years experience. Steve is the founder and CEO of Narf Industries, a specialist niche information security R&D firm, with marquee clients from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) to members of the Fortune 500. He started as a computer scientist and cyber security researcher for the Naval Research Laboratory after completing his MSC in Computer Science from the Naval Postgraduate School. Steve is also the founder and CEO of Polyswarm, the leading decentralised threat intelligence detection marketplace and anti-virus solution platform, whose Board and advisors features leading figures within the industry from Intel, Facebook, McAfee, among others.

Rory is an experienced CFO and Corporate Financier based primarily in London. A Chartered Accountant specialising in Capital Markets advising on, corporate restructuring, shell companies, turnaround, IPOs and RTOs for small to mid cap groups in a variety of industries listed on an array of markets in London and overseas. Rory’s early experience was advisory and project management for some of the largest multinationals in the world with turnovers up to £300 billion, as well as CFO for UK tech start up, Fidel API, which recently completed its Series B funding valuing it at >£400m.
